Cassini Mission Fly-by

NASA's Cassini Orbiter mission to Saturn, carrying the Hygens Probe for Titan provided by the European Space Agency (ESA), used a gravity assist from a fly-by of Jupiter to send it on its way to Saturn, which has been orbiting since July 2004. On the approach to Jupiter, Cassini was able to observe Jupiter for weeks and collected many observations from its capable instruments.

Cassini Orbiter spacecraft was able to improve greatly on the data collected by the previous missions by a significant amount. Carrying both wide and narrow angle cameras, Cassini was able to monitor Jupiter's dynamic clouds in wavelengths ranging from ultraviolet to near infrared.
